During the summer months, from June to September, the south of Morocco is very hot, reaching temperatures up to 45°C in Marrakech and 50°C in the desert. During this time visitors prefer cooler destinations such as Fes, Tangiers, the High Atlas and both the Mediterranean and Atlantic coasts.

During the winter months, from December to February, visitors who travel all around Morocco will find mild temperatures during the day (around 15°C in the cities) but harsher ones at night, especially in the desert, where temperatures can drop to zero. There is a chance of snow in the Atlas Mountains.

Spring

The spring months, from March to May, are the best months to travel throughout the country, especially in the south and in the desert. Visitors can expect more rain but also a more temperate climate, warm with warm days and cool nights. The days are getting longer, which means you have more sunlight hours to visit your destinations.

Autumn

Along with spring, autumn is also an ideal time to visit Morocco. September still feels summery but no longer oppressively hot like the previous months. October and November are instead more temperate and without too much rain. In this season, the desert and the imperial cities are highly recommended.
